Fraudsters are exploiting the devastating news we see over in Turkey and Syria by taking advantage of public generosity. You may see fake emails, fake websites and even fake charities using real stories and pictures of suffering and misery or the tremendous work being done by the rescue teams.
The Government are urging the public to ‘give safely’ when looking to support international aid efforts.
Stick to official organisations like the Disasters Emergency Committee, The British Red Cross, Christian Aid or Oxfam.
Don’t click on links, particularly in social media as that might take you to a fake, very convincing looking website, where your money will go to Fraudsters and they will steal your bank details.

Remember the A,B,C – Assume nothing , Believe nobody and Check everything .
